What is Pilipino Graduation Celebration? Why do we have it?
The Pilipino Graduation Celebration is an opportunity to celebrate graduates’ achievements in a more intimate setting with an emphasis on highlighting and embracing the Pilipino culture.
This year, the Pilipino Graduation Celebration will be held virtually on Saturday May 15, 2021 from
4:00pm-5:00pm via Zoom.
What will the ceremony consist of?
The celebration includes brief speeches from honored speakers, a cultural performance, and a video slideshow honoring the Class of 2021.
Do you have to be a member of the Pilipino American Coalition (PAC) or be Pilipino in order to participate in the Pilipino Graduation Celebration?
No, the Pilipino Graduation Celebration invites everyone who would like to celebrate their culture along with their college achievements. The only requirement is that you are a CSULB student preparing to graduate.
How do I register for P-Grad? When is the deadline?
Online registration is now available at http://www.csulb.edu/cgc then click on the Pilipino Graduation Celebration.
The deadline to register is Friday, April 16, 2021
Is there a cost to participate?
There is no cost to participate in the ceremony. However, a limited supply of PGrad sashes are available for purchase.
Do graduates receive a sash?
No, graduates do not receive a sash. However, a limited supply of PGrad sashes are available for purchase for $30 each. Sashes will be available on a first come, first-serve basis and will be mailed after the event.
Who can attend?
Friends and family are all welcome to join us in this special event. Zoom link will be provided to all graduates upon registration.
